Warriors Top Monks, 3-0

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Eastern Connecticut State University (21-8) defeated Saint Joseph's College (7-18), 3-0, in a non-conference volleyball match on Sunday afternoon.

The Warriors opened with a 25-19 triumph, collected a 2-0 lead with a 25-20 victory, and clinched the shutout with a third-set 25-15 win.

­­Eastern Connecticut posted leads in kills (40-20), attack percentage (.167 - .039), assists (37-19), aces (10-4), and digs (54-50) on the afternoon.



  • Abby Stern tallied 16 kills, eight digs, and three service aces
  • Anna Barry added 12 kills
  • Sierra Orr and McKenzie Maneggia notched 16 assists apiece


Saint Joseph's will host Lasell University (1:00 PM) and Johnson & Wales University (5:00 PM) on Saturday.
