Women's Soccer Defeated by Wheaton College, 3-1

STANDISH, ME - Regionally-ranked Wheaton College (5-0) defeated Saint Joseph's (1-1-1), 3-1, on Sunday afternoon at Westerlea Way Field. Katherine Chambers '13 (Hampden, ME) tallied the lone SJC score, her first collegiate goal, in the 57 th minute and SJC goalie Katye Mayo '10 (Fairfield, ME) made 13 saves in the losing effort.

Rosie Levy kicked off the game scoring in the 34 th minute off passes from Emily Hough and Lyndsey McManus. Cassey Muse netted the eventual game winner at the 40:13 mark, unassisted. Hough, off passes from Muse and Jessica Gray, capped the scoring in the 70 th minute.

Wheaton keeper Lindsay Leddy made one save in the victory. The Lyons are ranked fourth in the latest NSCAA New England Region Poll.

St. Joe's will travel to Mount Ida College on Wednesday to take on the Mustangs in a GNAC contest slated to begin at 3:30 PM. Wheaton will host Western New England College on Wednesday at 4:30 PM.
