Saint Joseph's 14th in Purple Valley Classic

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The SJC women's cross country team earned a 14th place finish with 401 points in the Purple Valley Classic, hosted by Williams College, on Saturday afternoon. Alysn Ludwig '09 (Waldoboro, ME) was the top SJC runner and finished in 99th place out of 179 runners with a time of 26:15.68 in the 6K event. Williams College won the event with 38 team points.

Rounding out the top six St. Joe's runners in the event were Katie Murphy '11 (Baileyville, ME) (26:19.78, 103); Mary Casinghino '10 (Manchester, NH) (26:22.45, 104); Tiffany Binette '11 (Biddeford, ME) (26:52.64, 121); Sarah Banks '09 (Swans Island, ME) (27:59.53, 132) and Shannon Marden '10 (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) (28:02.26, 136).

Saint Joseph's will compete in the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College in Wenham, MA on Saturday, October 4th at 10:45 AM.
