Monks Participate in Snowflake Classic at Tufts University

MEDFORD, MA – The Saint Joseph's College Track and Field teams traveled to Tufts University yesterday to compete in the Snowflake Classic.

For the women, Peyton Dostie '15 (Standish, Maine) placed 4th in the 400 meter dash (1:00:32), while her teammate and sister, Amber Dostie '15 (Standish, Maine) placed 16th in the 800 meter dash (2:28:60).  Also competing in the 800 meter dash was Audrey Curry '15 (63rd, 2:56:53), and Sarah Bakun '14 (67th, 3:24:43). Shannon Chisholm '14 (Stoughton, Mass.) raced in the 100 meter dash placing 77th (17.30), and Misha Leister '14 (Weymouth Mass.) placed 60th in the 200 meter dash (40.89).

For the men, Jack LaFreniere '13 (Alton, N.H.) notch yet two more top 10's, placing 10th in the 200 meter dash (23.20), and 8th in the 400 meter dash (52.50). Tyler Libby '15 (Clifton, Maine) placed 71st in the 100 meter dash (14.60), Joe DiSalvo '15 (Derry, N.H.) who placed 55th (2:11:94), and Jeff Merrill '15 (Fitchburg, Mass.) placed 74th (2:37:13) , both competed in the 800 meter run, and Hussein Ibrahim placed 67th in the 1500 meter run (4:34:25).

The Monks will return to action on April 21st in the Eric Loeshner Meet at Fitchburg State.
