Dostie's Efforts Highlight Monks' Progression as a Team
STANDISH, ME – Several Saint Josephs' track and field athletes have shown great improvement in their individual events this spring, with freshman Peyton Dostie (Standish, Maine) leading the group by posting impressive efforts in the long jump.
Dostie, an outstanding athlete who also plays field hockey at St. Joe's, jumped 16-04.25 to place third overall in the Jerry Gravel Classic at Westfield State University on March 24th. With the help of expert instruction, provided by the SJC coaching staff, and an unparalleled competitive drive, Dostie improved her distance by over a foot and won the event with a 17-08.25 effort in the Eric Loeshner Meet at Fitchburg State University on April 21st.
