WENHAM, MA - The SJC Women's Swimming team notched a 142-74 victory over Gordon College on Saturday afternoon. Jamie Wojtkiewicz '12 (Bedford, NH) notched three top finishes in the meet for Saint Joseph's.

Four other SJC swimmers raced to first-place finishes on the day. Christine Cote '13 (Biddeford, ME) won the 100-Free (1:03.88) and placed second in the 200-Free (2:37.49), Anne Roberts '12 (Hopkinton, NH) earned a victory in the 50-Back (34.42) and placed second in the 100-Back (1:13.62), Ashton Piers '10 (Falmouth, ME/Deering) won the 100-Fly (1:13.57) and finished second in the 100-Breast (1:19.70), and Rose Maccarrone '12 (Hingham, MA) topped the field in the 50-Breast (37.64) and placed second in the 100-Free (1:03.96).
The Monks won 10 of the first 11 events and led by over 100 points, 142-41, with three events remaining. St. Joe's would have gained three more wins if the team had not participated in the final three competitions in an exhibition capacity. Gajewski, Maccarrone and the 200-Free relay squad all posted top times in the final three events.
The 200-Medley relay team, featuring Roberts, Maccarrone, Piers and Cote, kicked off the competition with 2:11.07 effort to win the event.
Saint Joseph's will travel to Biddeford on Wednesday for a 6:00 PM meet against University of New England.
