Gajewski & Cote Honored by Conference


STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's College swimmers Hannah Gajewski '12 (Biddeford, ME/McAuley) and Christine Cote '13 (Biddeford, ME) have been listed on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll for their performance during the reporting period ending January 24th.

In their only meet last week, Saint Joseph's defeated Husson University, 149-113, on Saturday January 23rd at the Harold Alfond Center Pool. Gajewski won the 200-Breast (2:47.09), 200-IM (2:24.86) and 100-Fly (1:07.24) events and swam a leg for the winning 400-Free relay team (4:14.18).

Through nearly two full seasons, Gajewski has competed in 39 individual competitions with 30 top-finishes and 9 runner-up efforts. She owns 10 SJC program individual records and has been a member of three record-setting relay teams.

Cote won the 100-Free (1:02.40) and notched runner-up times in the 500-Free (6:35.60) and 200-Free (2:19.57). She also swam a leg for the winning 400-Free relay team, which posted a 4:14.18 effort.

As a freshman, Cote has competed in 19 events with 5 victories, 5 runner-up efforts and three third-place times.

Gajewski has been listed on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll four times this season. For Cote, the honor roll mention is her first. The freshman has collected a pair of GNAC Rookie of the Week accolades so far this year.

Saint Joseph's will hit the pool again on Saturday, February 6th at 12:00 PM in Wenham, MA against Gordon College.
