If the Monks top the Cadets on Sunday, they will host the Simmons/Emerson winner in the semifinal round on Wednesday. The winners of the Emmanuel/Albertus Magnus and Lasell/Saint Joseph (CT) games will square off in the other semifinal game, also to be played on Wednesday. The championship will take place on Saturday, November 7th. The higher seed serves as the host throughout the tourney.
St. Joe's, the preseason favorite according to a poll voted upon by coaches in late August, enters the tournament having outscored GNAC opponents by a 27-12 margin. The Monks, 5-0-1 in conference play at home this season, defeated the Cadets at Westerlea Way Field on October 10th, 3-2.
Saint Joseph's has won at least 11 games in six straight seasons, all under Head Coach Michael Bolanz '00, who has a 74-34-7 (.685) record as the Monks' leader.
