Young Listed on MWBCA Weekly Honor Roll

STANDISH, ME – SJC sophomore forward Abby Young (North Yarmouth, Maine) has garnered Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association Weekly Honor Roll mention.

Young registered 16.0 points and 7.5 rebounds and shot an otherworldly 75% (15-20) from the floor in a pair of SJC victories last week. The sophomore forward tallied the second double-double of her young career with a personal-best 25 points and 10 caroms and was 11-14 (78.6%) from the field in a win over Pine Manor on Tuesday.

The second-year standout currently leads the team in field goal percentage (57.1%, 60-105) and ranks third in scoring (10.2 PPG). The MWBCA Honor Roll listing is her first of the year and third of her young career.

Saint Joseph's (17-7, 11-1 GNAC) caps the regular season slate with an away contest versus GNAC-rival Albertus Magnus College on Saturday at 1:00 PM. The Monks have already locked up the #2 seed in the GNAC Tournament and will host an opponent yet to be determined on Tuesday at 5:30 PM.
