Daigle Named to NEWBA Honor Roll

STANDISH, ME - The New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) has released it's weekly awards for the Dec. 14-Jan. 3 reporting period and SJC senior forward Meghan Daigle (Grantham, NH) has received honor roll mention.

Daigle registered 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.0 steals per contest in a 1-1 week for Saint Joseph's College. She was named to the All-Tournament Team at Bowdoin College's Coastal Maine Classic over the weekend. Daigle led the Monks to a 74-58 win over Salve Regina University on Saturday, when she tallied 18 points and eight boards.

In nine games this season, Daigle is averaging a team-high 11.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest.

Saint Joseph's, coming off a 60-47 defeat over #23 Emmanuel College, is 7-5 overall and 1-0 in GNAC play so far this season. The Monks will travel to Wesleyan University (5-5) on Sunday for a game slated to begin at 3:00 PM.
