GNAC Women's Basketball Preseason Poll Released

STANDISH, ME - The GNAC Women's Basketball Preaseason Poll has been released and Saint Joseph's College has been picked to place seventh, according to a vote of conference coaches.
Emmanuel earned the top spot in the preseason poll, the
conference office announced this week. The Saints captured the
2008-09 GNAC championship after posting a 22-8 overall record and
11-1 GNAC record. The championship marked the 13th GNAC
championship title in the program's history.
Emerson was second behind Emmanuel with 51 points, followed by
Norwich, Johnson & Wales and Simmons to round out the top five.
Rivier was ranked sixth, while Saint Joseph's and Suffolk
filled the final two spots.
St. Joe's, 13-13 overall and 6-6 in GNAC contests last season, will open the 2010 season with a game at home against University of New England on Sunday, November 15th at 1:00 PM.
