Daigle and Geel Listed on GNAC Honor Roll

STANDISH, ME - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has released its Weekly Honor Roll and Meghan Daigle '10 (Grantham, NH) and Ashley Geel '12 (St. George, ME) have both been honored.

Daigle was also named to the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 17 points and 7.7 rebounds in three games over break. She scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a loss to Nichols in the Key Largo Classic Championship game and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

With a 14.2 points per game average, Daigle leads the Lady Monks in scoring and is second on the team in rebounding with 4.9 boards per contest.

Geel averaged 4.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game for the Lady Monks over the holiday break. Through 13 games, the freshman leads the team with 1.1 blocks per game and ranks third on the team in scoring (6.5 PPG).

Saint Joseph's will host Johnson & Wales in the team's conference opener on Saturday, January 10th at 1:00 PM.
