Freeman Garners GNAC Honor Roll Mention

STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's junior guard Carolyn Freeman (Scarborough, ME/McAuley) has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Honor Roll for the reporting period ending December 7th.

Freeman made 50% (14-28) of the shots from the field and averaged 11.7 points and 8.3 rebounds in a 2-1 week for St. Joe's. The junior recorded a pair of double-double efforts and averaged 12 points and 11 rebounds to help the Lady Monks capture the Merry Monk Classic Tournament championship and was named as the tourney MVP.

Freeman leads the 6-2 Lady Monks with 7.8 rebounds per game and ranks second on the team with a 10.6 points per game average. The junior sharpshooter has made 46.7 % (14-30) of her three-point attempts this season and ranks seventh in program history with 112 three-pointers made.

Saint Joseph's will compete in the Maine Maritime Tourney this weekend, beginning with a 1:00 PM game versus Endicott College on Saturday.
