Monks Extend Win Streak to Team Record 19 Games
STANDISH, ME – Senior shortstop Liddy van der Linden (Worcester, MA) hit a two-run home run with two out in the bottom of the sixth of the nightcap contest to help Saint Joseph’s (23-5, 16-0 GNAC) sweep a conference doubleheader against Saint Joseph (Conn.). The Monks won the opener, 8-3, and the 3-1 win in the closing contest extended the team’s winning streak to 19 games, which is a new program record.

The pair of victories pushes the Monks’ winning streak to 17 games.

CAPE CORAL, FL – Saint Joseph’s (4-2) played in a pair of close contests on Thursday, losing the opener to Fredonia State by a 2-0 score and edging the Engineers of WPI, 1-0, in the nightcap. Pitching was the name of the game, as the St. Joe’s pitchers allowed just seven hits and the SJC offense was held to just five hits on the day.
