2012 GNAC Softball Tournament Schedule Announced
The 2012 GNAC Softball Playoff pairings are now available. The playoff seedings could not be closer than in this season. The Emerson College Lions clinched the top seed in the playoffs with an incredible conference record of 24-2, and overall record of 30-7. The Lions played a spectacular regular season with a key victory over conference rival #2 St. Joseph's ME and a sweep of #3 seeded Simmons to lift them into the top spot.
St. Joseph's Maine (23-3, 30-6) earned a close second place finish with already a 30 win season under their belt. Simmons (19-7, 23-14) earned a third place finish due to defeating Johnson & Wales (19-7, 26-14) in the regular season, who earned the final home seed for the first round.
Rounding out the final four playoff spots is #5 Rivier (17-9, 25-11), #6 Norwich (15-11, 20-14), #7 Suffolk (13-13, 20-20) and #8 St. Joseph of CT (12-14, 17-21).
