Horgan & Dolewa Reach Career Goals Century Mark

STANDISH, ME – Jonathan Horgan (Hingham, Mass.) and Paul Dolewa (Saco, Maine) have become the first Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse players to eclipse the 100-goal plateau.

Horgan became the first to reach the milestone with his second of four goals in a 20-10 victory over conference-rival Emerson College in Boston on Saturday, April 7th. Four days later, Dolewa hit the landmark on the nose with two goals in a 9-4 victory over GNAC foe Emmanuel College at Westerlea Way Field on Wednesday.

Through 46 career contests, Horgan has tallied 102 goals, 60 assists, 155 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers. The 2011 First Team All-GNAC selection, who missed all but part of one game as a sophomore, currently ranks as the Monks' all-time leader in goals, assists and points. He also owns the SJC single-season goals record (45, 2009).

Dolewa has tallied 100 goals, 45 assists, 180 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers in 64 games over nearly four full seasons. The four-year starter ranks as the SJC career leader in games played, shots (496), shots on goal (254) and man-up goals (29). He is the program's single-season record-holder for shots (161, 2009) and man-up goals (12, 2011) as well.

The senior duo has combined to score 31% (202/661) of the Monks' goals over the past four seasons.

Saint Joseph's (7-7, 5-1 GNAC) will play at Norwich University on Saturday in a conference contest scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.
