STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's junior guard Tyler Kelley (Saco, ME) has been listed on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season.
Kelley helped lead the Monks to a 2-0 conference week with 22.5 points, 2.5 boards, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists per game averages. The junior guard shot a blistering 62% (8-13) from three-point range and 64% (18-28) overall during the week, and poured in a career-high 31 points off a 13-18 effort from the field against Mount Ida 2/20.
Kelley capped his junior campaign ranked 4th in the GNAC in three-point success (.411, 51-124), 9th in FG% (.498, 131-263), 9th in threes made (51) and 11th in scoring (14.3 PPG).
The Monks' season, and quest to win back-to-back GNAC Championships, ended when #6 Lasell College defeated the Royal Blue, who earned the #3 seed, 75-70, in a conference quarterfinal contest on February 23rd. Saint Joseph's closed out the 2009-10 campaign with a 19-7 overall record and went 14-4 in GNAC play.
