Pam Gates comes to Saint Joseph’s from Incirlik Air Base, Turkey.  She spent the last 27 years moving between the United States and Europe as an officer in the Air Force (four years) and then with her husband while substitute teaching and helping in her children’s schools.  She started working with high school cheerleading at Incirlik Unit School in Turkey, as the tumbling coach and then the Assistant Coach from 2008 – 2011.  She helped coach her team to third place at the European Division III Championships every year, with an All-Tournament Cheerleader on the team each year.

Coach Gates cheered in high school and graduated from the University of Maryland in 1984 with a Bachelor Degree in General Studies, and in 1989 with a Master Degree in General Administration.  She is currently a substitute teacher at Biddeford High School.  Coach Gates is excited to work with the cheerleaders at Saint Joseph’s and relishes the challenge of collegiate competition and building a strong, lasting cheer program.
