Pratt Named GNAC Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph’s College third baseman Mike Pratt ’13 (Dartmouth, MA/Bishop Stang) has garnered GNAC Rookie of the Week honors for the first spring reporting period.

In a 3-4 spring trip for the Monks, Pratt hit .333 (7-21) with six runs, eight RBI, a double, and a home run. In his first collegiate doubleheader against Clark University, Pratt was 5-7 at the plate and registered hits in each of his first three at bats against the Cougars. He belted his first NCAA dinger, a three-run blast, in third inning of the opening game of a twinbill against WPI on March 8^th. Pratt also drove home four runs in a loss to Wentworth on March 11th.

St. Joe’s will continue the 2010 campaign when the Royal Blue makes a trip to New Jersey City University for a two-game set against the Gothic Knights on Saturday, March 20^th. The Monks will also play two against St. Joseph’s (NY) on Sunday, March 21^st before heading back to New England.
