Baseball Hot Stove Fundraiser Recap

STANDISH, ME - The Saint Joseph's Baseball team kicked off the 2010 with the team's Sixth Annual Hot Stove Brunch on Saturday at the SJC Dining Hall. Nearly 300 people attended the event and the Monks raised over $10,000 during the auction.

Numerous items were donated for the auction by players' families, baseball alums and local business. Prizes included autographed sports memorabilia, framed photos, custom SJC Baseball engraved items, gift cards to local businesses and food items, among other excellent gifts.

A special thank you to the Bon Appetit staff, auctioneer Nick Mirabello '03, prize runners Tyler Laverriere '13 (Biddeford, ME), Mike Pratt '13 (Dartmouth, MA), Nick Saunders '13 (Brooksville, ME) and Eric Fallon '13 (Walpole, MA), sound technicians Rich Chouinard and Eliot Pickering '13 (South Portland, ME/Cheverus) and all the players, parents, family members, friends and alumni who made the event the most successful SJC Baseball Hot Stove ever!
