STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph’s (13-6, 7-0 GNAC) held off Suffolk University (13-6, 6-2 GNAC), 73-60, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women’s basketball contest at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday afternoon. Monks sophomore forward Lindsay Moore (Barrington, N.H.) netted a game-high 22 points and pulled down six rebounds in the weighty conference win.

Monks Defeat Sharks, Remain Perfect in GNAC Play
BOSTON, MA – Saint Joseph’s (12-6, 6-0 GNAC) led wire to wire in a 72-38 victory over Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) rival Simmons College (3-14, 1-6 GNAC) on Thursday night. Junior guard Danyelle Shufelt (Sutton, Vt.) came off the bench to net a game-high 15 points off a 5-5 effort from the floor in the SJC win.

Monks Ride Second Half Surge to Victory over Mustangs
STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph’s (12-4, 8-2 GNAC) outscored Mount Ida College (6-10, 3-6 GNAC) by a 40-22 margin in the second half en route to a 69-53 conference victory at the Harold Alfond Center on Thursday evening. Senior swingman Zach O’Brien (Schenectady, N.Y.) scored a game-high 23 points and added five boards and five assists in the triumph.

Tara Gagnon Pelletier ’04 played basketball for four years at Saint Joseph’s and was a team captain as a senior. An Elementary Education major, she now works as an Assistant Principal at Oxford Hills High School.
