2011 SJC Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony set for November 12th
STANDISH, ME – The 2011 Saint Joseph’s College Athletics Hall of Fame class will be inducted on Saturday, November 12th.
This year’s class includes the first-ever husband and wife duo to enter the SJC Hall of Fame: Mike McDevitt ’83, former men’s basketball standout and longtime women’s basketball coach, and Margaret (O’Brion) McDevitt ’82, one of the most prolific post players in SJC women’s basketball history.
Stacy Gelinas ’02 (women’s basketball), Randy Henry ’98 (baseball) and Fred Stone (Administrator) join the McDevitts to compose the ninth SJC Athletics Hall of Fame class. The list of accomplished athletes, coaches, administrators and philanthropists grows to 59 with the addition of the 2011 honorees.
To celebrate the college will host a dinner and induction ceremony in their honor. The evening will start with a cocktail reception starting at 5:00 PM in the Harold Alfond Center, followed by the dinner and induction ceremony starting at 6:30 PM in the college's Mercy Dining Hall.
Tickets are $30/adults and $10/children under 12. Space is limited; please purchase tickets by November 4th. Business attire recommended.

Founded in 2000, the Saint Joseph’s College Athletics Hall of Fame honors past athletes, faculty, staff and friends who, through their actions, have brought distinction through athletics to themselves and to Saint Joseph’s College. With the combination of the committee and members who have associations with the college and/or athletics department, the Saint Joseph’s College Hall of Fame has continued to make strides toward the future while honoring the past.
