Inclement Weather Forces Schedule Reshuffling
STANDISH, ME – All four of the Saint Joseph’s College spring teams have been affected by Friday’s stormy weather. The Monks baseball, softball and women’s and men’s lacrosse programs games for Saturday have all been postponed.
The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) baseball doubleheader at Albertus Magnus College has been postponed. The make-up date has yet to been announced. The Monks’ twinbill versus Lasell College on Sunday at Larry Mahaney Diamond, originally slated for a 1:00 PM first pitch, has been moved back to 3:00 PM.
The softball two-game set at Pine Manor College on Saturday has been postponed with the make-up date to be announced in the coming days. The Monks’ GNAC doubleheader at St. Joseph (CT) on Sunday remains as a 12:00 PM start.
The women’s lacrosse contest at Mount Ida College, previously scheduled for a 4:00 PM start, will now be played on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM.
Finally, the men’s lacrosse 2011 GNAC opener against Lasell College, which was to be played on Saturday at Deering Memorial Stadium in Portland at 12:45 PM, will now be played at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland on Sunday afternoon at 4:45 PM.
