Allison Miner, Senior, Women's Basketball
Allison Miner '10 is a 5'11" forward and second-year captain on the Saint Joseph's Women's Basketball team. Through December 1st, Miner had played in 81 games, with 58 starts, and tallied 458 points and 376 rebounds in her career. One of the best free-throw shooters on the team, she entered her senior campaign with an 80.2% career conversion rate, the second-highest percentage in team history, from the charity stripe.
Head Coach Mike McDevitt '83:
Allison Miner is a leader both on and off the floor. Selected as
one of our tri-captains, she has been a "take charge" leader from
day one. Allison is willing to accept any role necessary for our
team to be its best. She is willing to do the little things that go
unnoticed in the box score. She works hard every day in practice
and serves as a great role model for our younger players. Allison
is often asked to defend the opposing team's best post player and
welcomes the challenge. She is a workhorse on the boards and is one
of our best rebounders on both ends of the floor. Allison continues
to work hard on her inside post moves and when given the
opportunity can step out and hit the outside shot. Look for Allison
to be one of our leaders as we
navigate our way through the 2009-10 season.
