Saint Joseph's College Athletic Training

NCAA Banned Substance List

The Saint Joseph's College of Maine Department of Athletics requires that all student athletes take part in a Pre-Participation Sports physical held by our Sports Medicine Team and staff prior to participating in athletics. Those athletes participating in multiple sports are only required to get one physical per school year.

Athletic Training Room:

The Athletic Training facility is located in the Harold Alfond Center adjacent to the gymnasium.

Athletic Training services will be available before and after all athletic contests. Pre-game preparation will be provided to visiting athletes; however we do ask that you provide your own supplies. A Certified Athletic Trainer will be present at all home contests. Those teams traveling with a Certified Athletic Trainer will have full usage of the athletic training facility but are asked to make SJC Athletic Training staff aware of any special arrangements one may need.

Any team traveling with an Athletic Training Student must have a written order from a Certified Athletic Trainer or Team Physician which includes all parameters and settings for the use of modalities.

  • Whirlpool (Hot & Cold)
  • Hydrocollator
  • Electric Muscle Stimulation
